Heavy Duty Sheet Protectors

Heavy duty sheet protectors is the definition for sheet protectors that are stronger than the average sheet protector where most that are sold is either standard weight sheet protectors or light weight gauge sheet protectors sometimes also named economy sheet protectors.

Heavy duty sheet protectors is usual sheet protectors marked: Heavy weight sheet protectors or Super heavy weight sheet protectors the difference is the thickness of the material. Heavy weight is usual 70 - 90 micron (2.75 - 3.55 Mil) thick when made in polypropylene and Super heavy weight is 110 micron (4.33 Mil) or more in thickness. This for each layer of polypropylene material.

The simple conclusion is that what makes the sheet protector a heavy duty sheet protector is simply the thickness of the material and with this its ability to protect the document even during frequent usage.

Here is a couple of examples of fine heavy duty sheet protectors from Keepfiling:

Both items here presented is made in glass clear polypropylene but they could just as well be presented in different type of material as low reflective sheet protectors as an example.

Legal Size Sheet Protectors

Expand your paper size change from letter size to legal size paper for everything from printing documents to saving your genealogy files. Legal size paper is 8.5 inch wide just like standard letter size but has an addition 3 inched in the length and become 14 inches tall for the total format of 14 x 8.5 inches.
These extra 3 inches a legal size document provide may not seem like a lot but if comparing to a letter size it is an extra 21% of space that is gained by using legal size paper to write on compared to the traditional 8.5 x 11 inch letter size document.
What difference does it make it you may ask. Well look at it this way with a extra 3 inch a lot more letters can be kept to a single page. There are more space for references as "enclosed", "CC:copy Mr. X", "photo attached", etc. etc. All these reference takes a lot of space and talking about space so does a good written letter.
It is important in order not to make a letter too HEAVY to read. That is why there are paragraphs and line breaks, etc. As to give the reader a chance to breath and consume what he/she just read before continuing on.
At the end of the letter it is also important to place plenty of space between the content of the letter the final greeting, name, etc. etc. The more space being used the more easy the letter will seem to read and the bigger the chance is that the intended receiver will read it to the end.

Today legal size binders and legal size sheet protectors are available from suppliers as Keepfiling.com and with this there should not be an excuse for not to change over and use the convenient legal size format. It also fit well with most standard forms for use with rental forms, etc. etc.

Picture shows: Legal size sheet protectors in a legal size ring binder. Note the 4 rings used as standard for extra support of the tall 14 x 8-1/2 sheet protectors.

Presentation Sheet Protectors

There are so many different types of sheet protectors available so what make a sheet protector so good that you would name it a: Presentation Sheet Protectors.
Here it a few suggestion for what to look for in a quality sheet protector:

  • Material gauge. A real super heavy weight gauge sheet protector provide a good feel to the presentation. Every time you turn the page you realize the person who made this report put the best of the best into it. Even with the presentation.
  • The sheet protector should be straight and angled at 90 degree's at all corners. It should be uniform and free of dirt and excess material from the manufacturing process.
  • The clarity of the sheet protectors should be of such a quality that the inserted content can be easily read true the clear front.
  • The pre-punched holes should be of such quality that no excess waist is left in the holes and the holes should be of such strength that they can take continual usage for an extended period of time.
  • It should be archival safe (acid free) as to prevent any copy or smear of ink from the filed document.
Look after some of the above point when you make your purchase and you can not go completely wrong. There are several brands available in the market and in all reality there are not a major difference between them when it come to super heavy weight sheet protectors or presentation sheet protectors. Some has a white strip at the hole line side others do not what you prefer is a matter of taste as the thickness of the clear material alone is more than strong enough to hold the sheet protector and any document that may be inserted. The white strip is only of viewable value.
There are differences in the clarity of the material used even though most major manufactures use the same basic material polypropylene or vinyl. And for both materials there are different textures and surfaces named differently each manufacture. When it comes down to it they are all in basic offering the same products in different packing with slightly different variations.

Business Card Pages

What about all those business cards we all get here and there and everywhere they almost seem to show up as fast as dust.
The big difference is of cause that the only reason we get this many cards is because we meet a lot of people and most I would say are worth saving for future reference.
The old Rolodex was a great storage devise the only issue was that it was getting uglyer with time as the cards got more and more yellow and worren. In addition all once business contacts was sitting right on the desk and everyone could look in them incl. the sales person who could read the names of his competion.
What is the alternative. You could save all your contact on the computer but with all the updates needed with time it just seem like a more handy and long term storage devise would be business card pages.
Business card page protectors are made just to sort and divide all your contacts in an easy and fast manor. In addition to be a fast and extremely convenient way to store business cards it is also a very safe way to store business cards. They are protected against tear and wear stains from coffee, soda and other fluids found around in every office.

When choosing your business card holders make sure they are copy safe or archival safe good for long term storage. This prevent the card from sticking to the pages and the ink from the business cards to smear off. Also choose a page of a good strong gauge of material, not a slim thin material page that provides little protection for the long term usage these pages will be induced to.
